Yep...going to be brutal on pitching..not many ( if any teams ) have the depth to go three days in a row.........you would need 3-4 starters and 2-3 staff to get this done.

Brutal for sure - but I think we'll get the strongest team out of it. Offense should very important in the early rounds leading to a pitching duel next weekend.

Chris,
For those who do not know for sure how the bracket is being read, maybe we should note that the winners brackets are all at Julien Field and all the losers brackets are at Soderquist Field only because the A/AE is the hosting the City Championship for this year.
Game times were left off for games 7 and 8. I believe they were set for game 7 at 5:30 and game 8 at 7:30 both at Soderquist Field and there after.
If needed in the Championship game if the losers win then the 2nd game will start 30 minutes later. Time for everyone to take a break and prep the field again.
Oh, by the way, GREAT JOB last night with the team. That was a class act leaving the studs out at the beginning of the game and throwing some younger players.

Thanks Coop for the headsup and kind words! I'll try to refine the brackets this evening with the changes. Despite the pasting we took last night the lil Giants did a great job. I'm proud of all of them and very happy with our season. It was a bit rocky to start and we dropped four 1 run games but the kids never gave up. What more can a coach ask? I am already sad to think that many of our kids will be moving on to 60/90 next year. Jenson turned 13 today which drove that fact home even stronger. However, the tournament turns out I am going to savour every last minute of my son's final year in Little League and my last year as a coach. Its been a great ride. Thanks to all the parents but most especially to my coaches John Garcia and Steve Olsen. Their kids are a reflection of what great guys they are. Zach & Jacob are two outstanding youngsters who demonstrate every day through their competitiveness and sportsmanship that kids today are indeed OK and things will be fine as you and I grow old (you before me). Next year the MIB will be in great hands. I sure hope the BOD approves Dave Hanham to take over the Giants. He'll do a wonderful job.

Chris Please tell my fav street dancer happy BD. Is there a reason you cant stick around and coach for many years to come? Just because Jens is moving on doesn't mean you have too.

Dave ~
I wouldn't have had it any other way. Michael did a super job last night and I know he'll play a role for us in the tourney. It was the Lil Gs night and they stepped up despite having the veterans on the bench and never gave up. I share your father's pride in Michael's performance and that of all our youngsters.

LOL Greenie - I will indeed tell my "Dancing with the Stars" teenie bopper you said happy birthday.
As for coaching, its time for me to take a seat and become a spectator. I wouldn't want any dad to miss out on the opportunity I've had these past several years. I'll really enjoy watching you and Scapper go at it next year.

I can't wait. It has been a fun ride, the last two years have been great. We have been I think 28-14 -1 the last two year and a league championship. Hopefully will be able to carry on the traditions.
Happy B-Day Jens.
