Well actually the school district owns julien and I am pretty sure that once little league is over that the park can indeed be used by other team without LL permission. I know that Soderquist is considered a city park and can be used by anyone.

It sure will be fun and might make recruiting for TB a little easier as well. It can only make our teams better. With the reduction in the number of teams it would have gotten awful boring playing the same teams all the time. Soderquist is getting a major face lift this year and you should enjoy playing there - I know the kids will.

I lived in Valencia - Down by Magic Mountain back then. I played in a catholic baseball league until jr. high when we moved up this way (Alamaden). I think that pic was froom 1972. I was 10.

Hello "Stacked" good to see your alive and well. Yes it will be fun to play all the teams in Turlock. I know last year the Cardinals got tired of beating up on the Giants all the time.....j/k Chris. I think you have a good chance of taking the national side but you will have to beat the Dodgers to do it. Gman is looking forward to pitching against anyone. They get more enthuzed with every year. I just wish I didnt have to buy him new shoes every 6 months. Just bought a pair of 12's with the Thunder and now had to go out and snag a 13 wide for this LL season. When will it end? Good luck to both of your teams gents. And yes you should be able to use the field for practice. Why should it sit? Jeff you had to have been on Exchange in the 69-71 season?? I remember playing against Gary but I moved in 70 to Washington. Richland ruled then anyways

I'll have to go on a search for some team pictures...Next you will tell me you remember GEER ROAD without a stop light

I used to hunt out on Geer rd. My Uncle ran the TID sub station at Monte Vista and Fosberg. Coming from the Berkely (Turlock Super Market) area it seemed like a long drive to his house out Berkely and or Geer. Liberty Market was all by its lonesome. We used to look forward as kids back then to the Little League Parade as well. Marching down main street from the tracks to Soderquist in our wool. Every now and then a horse and buggy would go by.
